Why Does Rice Not Work?
Of course rice absorbs moisture, but the liquid is probably inside your device, how will that help? Rice can not draw the liquid out of your phone, best get it to a Mobile Phone Repair Shop,. Also worth noting is that Rice will get in to the headphone port and the charing port. Lastly after your attempts to save your phone by leaving it in a bowel of rice, you may be tempted to try and see if your iPhone / Samsung Smart Phone is working again and that is a mistake. Do Nothing
Do not attempt to turn it on or charge it or press any buttons… Do Nothing except dry the outside of the device.
Let me explain. The current state of your device is that it probably has some liquid inside the device. Liquid in contact with any electronics will create an electrical short. Electrical shorts generate heat, heat destroy components. The less voltage / current that is been drawn through the device, the less damage to the components inside the device. As soon as you press buttons or plug it in you are creating a demand for current to flow within the phone. That additional current flow will cause more heat and will cause further damage.

How We Fix Your Device

- Firstly we will dismantle your device and take note of where the liquid came in contact with the internal circuitry of the device.
- We will then inspect the circuit board and all components, connectors, buttons for liquid, corrosion or damage.
- We will clean these areas with 99% Isopropanol to remove any liquid or corrosion
- We will then clean the main circuit board in an Isopropanol Ultrasonic Tank
- Once clean we inspect the board again and finish up any additional cleaning that may be needed
- The device is reassembled
- The device is powered up for testing
Our next steps are dependent on the response we get from the device. we will then report our finding back to you.
NB – Only 50% of mobile devices which suffer liquid damage can be economically repaired. Once the device is cleaned, the device may display other problems which many not have been noted prior to the device been cleaned.
