How Long will my Samsung Screen Repair take?
Bristol, Brislington & Keynsham Samsung screen repairs take about 90 Minutes. Unlike iPhones, Samsung Phones have a back cover which has to be removed and then glued back in place. I am always aware that we want to send customer away with a phone that will not fall apart in a few days, so we take a little extra time and care to make sure the back is glued in place properly.
Why do you only use Genuine Samsung Screens
Unlike iPhones, Genuine Samsung Screens are glued to an intermediate metal frame. This means that if we use a Generic Screen, which may provide the same quality image and use experience as a Samsung Screen, we have to glue the screen to the metal frame. This is a somewhat tricky process of getting the screen lined up Exactly with out the screen actually touching the adhesive tape or glue before the glue starts to set. From experience I can tell you that this is difficult. The other issue is if the screen is not well adhered to the frame, it can start to come away from the frame. This means that the slightest knock or drop would damage the screen. For these reasons, we only use Genuine Samsung Screens.
How long will it take for a Samsung Battery Replacement?
Samsung Battery Replacements take about an hour. Unlike the iPhone, Samsung Phones have a back cover which needs to be removed before we can do the replacement. Once the back cover is removed, we then have to dismantle the phone to get to the battery, heat the phone up to soften the adhesive holding the battery in place and then pry the battery out. This seems easier that it is, because we have to use metal tools to pry the battery out as the plastic tools are just not sturdy enough. We take great care not to puncture the battery whilst removing it, as this would cause a fire. To date this has never happened.
Why do you only use Genuine Samsung Batteries?
The rate at which new phones are released on to the market means that a phone that is only 4 / 5 years old, is already out of fashion. Batteries only last 2 – 3 years, depending on use, this means that the demand for batteries starts at about 2 -3 years from the date the phone is released and then quickly drops off as people are given cheap deals to upgrade. That leaves many batteries are sitting on shelves for years at a time. We know this from having to replace what our supplier says is new battery, before that battery ever seeing the inside of a phone. Short cuts cost us all time and money…
