If We Come To You

We know you are busy, so we offer a service where we come to you. We will arrive in a Red DrFixit Van at your home or work or wherever you want. Our vans are fully fitted with all the necessary tools to get your device working in no time. Did I mention our call out charge starts from only £15 to come to you? I am sure you agree… that level of convenience makes perfect sense. To find out more, please visit our page If We Come To You.

No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

12 Month Warranty

We will not use cheap parts and will certainly not do a botch job either. You can rely on us. If you have any problems after the repair has been completed, just give us a call.

Samsung A34 5G Known Issues

It says “fast charging” when it should say “super fast charging”

Plug the A34 into a 25W charger and you’d expect the super fast charging animation. Plenty of owners get the plain green circle and “Fast charging” instead — official cable, correct wattage, latest software, everything by the book. It isn’t the wattage. It’s the handshake. The A34 negotiates over Samsung’s own AFC protocol, and a charger that only speaks PD/PPS settles on a slower profile instead. One owner swapped to a different brick and the super fast label came straight back. The negotiation also happens the instant the plug goes in, so a half-seated cable locks in the slow rate until you pull it and push it home properly. Worth ruling out before anyone assumes the charging port is dying.

Random freezes and reboot loops on the SM-A346E

This one’s a proper headache. The phone locks up and restarts on its own, usually when you’re throwing commands at it quickly — and sometimes it doesn’t stop at one restart, it loops. One owner reflashed stock firmware, then reflashed a second stock build, and the loop carried on to the point the lock screen wouldn’t open at all. Another A346E owner with identical symptoms calmed it down by switching auto-sync off, which tells you the load matters. When clean, unmodified firmware doesn’t move it, you’re looking at hardware rather than software, and it needs opening up.

Screen locks solid and the power button does nothing

Different fault, same family. Here the display simply stops — touch is dead, the phone is still very much on, and holding the power button gets you nowhere, so you can’t even shut it down to clear it. The escape is volume down and power held together for a forced restart. Once in a blue moon, fine. Weekly, and the reboot is just papering over something underneath that’s on its way out.

Dead on arrival — won’t turn on at all

Black screen, no logo, no buzz. The recovery sequence on the A34 is that same volume-down-plus-power hold, and if that’s silent, at least ten minutes on a known-good charger before trying the combination again. Stays dark after both attempts and you’re into charging port, battery or board territory — that’s a bench job, not a button trick.
