No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

Samsung A35 5G Known Issues

The CSC region code decides which features you actually get

Every Samsung ships with a CSC — a Country Specific Code that quietly decides which features the software switches on. On the A35 5G, one owner found theirs would only accept three of them: CAU, SER and SKZ. Everything else got rejected. Not a lot of options. And the knock-on effect was real — on the default SKZ code, the ECG function on a paired Galaxy Watch simply refused to work. Switching the phone over to SER brought it straight back. This isn’t a hardware fault, and no amount of swapping parts fixes it: it comes down to how few country-specific firmware builds Samsung published for that particular A35 variant, so there’s nothing else to switch to. Worth knowing before you assume a missing health feature means a broken watch.

Samsung A35 5G Specifications

The Samsung A35 5G (UK model SM-A356B) has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen at 120Hz and Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chip, with between 4GB and 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Unlike the later A36 and A56, it keeps a microSD card slot, shared with the SIM tray.

The rear cameras are a 50MP main with optical stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro, and there’s a 13MP selfie camera. The battery is 5000mAh with 25W wired charging. It has a glass front and back on a plastic frame, IP67 water resistance and an optical fingerprint reader under the screen.
