No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

A cheap non-genuine screen gets it working, but it isn’t the same panel

So the display breaks, and the first thing most Note 10 owners find is a very cheap replacement panel on an online parts marketplace. It does the job. An owner who went that route and documented the whole swap was straightforward about the result: the phone worked again, and the screen was plainly a step down from the factory one. That’s the trade to weigh up before ordering anything — a genuine panel costs considerably more, and on a phone this age the gap between those two figures is the entire decision.

Ghost touches, or a screen that ignores a firm press

But a replacement panel tends to bring a second complaint along with it. Note 10 owners describe touch response drifting in both directions after a screen swap: taps registering that nobody made, or a deliberate press being needed where the lightest contact used to work. A hard drop produces the same thing. It is frequently a sensitivity setting rather than a failed digitiser, which makes it the cheapest item on this page to rule out before anyone is paid to open the phone up.
