No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

Samsung A32 5G Known Issues

Broken 40-pin display FPC connector on the mainboard

Forty pins, and not one of them forgiving. The A32’s screen ribbon plugs into a 40-pin FPC socket soldered directly onto the mainboard, and that socket is the first thing to die when a screen swap goes wrong. Board-level repairers see the same picture every time: the connector snapped off from the top, pins sitting there exposed, solder pads underneath usually still intact. This is damage, not a factory defect — it gets inflicted during disassembly, not on its own. The giveaway is a black screen that a replacement panel doesn’t fix, because the fault is on the board rather than in the screen. It’s common enough that busy repair benches keep A32 connectors in stock. If the pads survived, a fresh socket can be fitted under a microscope and the original board lives — but that’s specialised micro-soldering, slower and dearer than a straight screen replacement.
