No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

We will not use cheap parts and will certainly not do a botch job either. You can rely on us. If you have any problems after the repair has been completed, just give us a call.

Samsung A15 Known Issues

No WiFi, and the WiFi chip isn’t the problem

Here’s the one A15 fault worth knowing before anyone tells you the aerial’s dead. There’s board-level repair work on this phone where the WiFi is gone completely, and the cause isn’t the WiFi module and isn’t a loose connector — it’s a missing line on the board between the WiFi section and the CPU. A trace, broken. Nothing to unplug, nothing to reseat, no part to swap. The repair is a flying jumper: a hair-thin wire soldered under a microscope to bridge the gap the board lost. Which tells you two useful things. One, a dead-WiFi A15 isn’t automatically a write-off. Two, it isn’t a parts job either — so the board wants looking at properly before anyone replaces a module that was never broken.

Samsung A15 Specifications

The Samsung A15 (4G model SM-A155F) has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen at 90Hz and MediaTek’s Helio G99 chip, with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, plus a microSD slot shared with the SIM tray.

On the back is a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro, with a 13MP selfie camera on the front. The battery is 5000mAh with 25W wired charging. It has a glass front with a plastic back and frame, a fingerprint reader built into the side button, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
