If We Come To You

We know you are busy, so we offer a service where we come to you. We will arrive in a Red DrFixit Van at your home or work or wherever you want. Our vans are fully fitted with all the necessary tools to get your device working in no time. Did I mention our call out charge starts from only £15 to come to you? I am sure you agree… that level of convenience makes perfect sense. To find out more, please visit our page If We Come To You.

No Fix No Fee?

We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

12 Month Warranty

We will not use cheap parts and will certainly not do a botch job either. You can rely on us. If you have any problems after the repair has been completed, just give us a call.

Samsung S25 5G Known Issues

Camera rings that gather lint and make the phone rock

So, the S25’s rear cameras each sit in their own raised ring in the top-left corner. One owner used it daily for three months and noticed two side effects. The rings collect dust and pocket lint. And without a case, the phone rocks when it’s lying flat on a table, because all that extra height is on one corner. Neither of these is a fault. It’s just the shape. But it’s worth a gentle look around those rings with a soft brush now and then, rather than letting the lint build up next to the lenses.

Heat and battery drain during long gaming sessions

The S25 fits a Snapdragon 8 Elite into a body about 7.2 mm thick and 162 g, running on a 4,000mAh battery. There’s no fan and not much room to spread heat. So what happens when you push it? One long-term reviewer played Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and said the phone got really hot over a long session. It never actually overheated, and frame rates held up. An hour of it used 36% of the battery, though. A second owner, a month in, was disappointed with the heat under heavy gaming, even with the cooling chamber inside. Everyday use is a different story. This is about sustained load in a small body.

Slower charging than its bigger siblings

This one catches people out. According to one owner’s one-month review, the base S25 tops out at 25W wired charging, while the S25+ and S25 Ultra go up to 45W. So a 45W charger bought for a bigger Galaxy won’t fill the S25 any faster. That’s the phone’s own ceiling. It isn’t a fault.

Ultra-wide camera with no autofocus

Here’s a small one people don’t expect on a flagship. The S25’s ultra-wide camera has no autofocus. The owner who pointed it out said they’d missed it in their own first review. A fixed-focus lens can’t pull in on something close the way the main camera can. So if close-ups on the ultra-wide come out soft while the main lens is sharp, that’s the design, not a damaged camera.
