No Fix No Fee?
We would love to be able to fix every device and would love to be able to give you your device back working as it should be. Some devices are just beyond repair or need to be taken to a Micro-Soldering Specialist. Our expertise has taken years to acquire, so we charge £20 for any device which we are not able to repair. This by no means covers our costs, as we sometimes spend in excess of an hour or two working through different options to get your device working again. In the event that you have called us out to your location, we will only charge you the call out fee plus £10. If we are unable to repair your device, we may still be able to help get your device fixed and may even be able to get your data recovered. We have teamed up with a specialist “Micro-Soldering Board Level Repair Company” here in Bristol specifically to ensure we get your device fixed in almost all cases.

Huawei P30 Lite Known Issues
Charging stops working after a screen replacement
So, this is the one worth knowing about before anyone touches a P30 Lite screen. An owner on XDA replaced a broken LCD with a genuine Huawei service pack — the official part, not a cheap copy off a marketplace — and came out the other side with a phone that wouldn’t charge. There’s no dodgy third-party panel to blame here. A year later a second owner turned up on the same thread with what they described as the exact same problem and asked whether it was ever solved. Nobody answered. The cause was never identified, so I’d test charging before and after any screen job on this model rather than assume a genuine part makes it a non-issue.
Only powers on with the cable plugged in, and then sticks at the logo
Another P30 Lite owner reported a phone that only switches on while it’s on a power cable, and won’t power up at all without one. But it doesn’t get far even then — plugged in, it stops at the Huawei logo screen and never boots past it. The troubleshooting that came back was all PC-side: reinstall the phone drivers in case they’d gone corrupt, and try a USB-A to USB-C lead in case the phone was only recognising the current cable as a power source and not a data connection. No cause was ever confirmed on the thread.
Rear camera won’t start and the camera app crashes instantly
One owner bought a P30 Lite secondhand with this fault already present: the main camera doesn’t start and the camera app crashes the moment it’s opened. The front camera and the torch both still work. That last part is the useful bit — if the flash fires and the selfie camera behaves normally, whatever’s gone wrong is narrowed to the rear module or its connection rather than the whole imaging system. Because it was bought used, there’s no way to say whether wear, a drop, or a previous repair put it there.

Huawei P30 Lite Specifications
The Huawei P30 Lite (European model MAR-LX1A) has a 6.15-inch IPS LCD at 1080 x 2312, running on Huawei’s Kirin 710 chip with 4GB to 8GB of RAM and 64GB to 256GB of storage, plus a microSD slot shared with the SIM tray.
The camera setup depends on the version: either a 48MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide and an auxiliary lens, or a 24MP main with the same 8MP ultra-wide. The selfie camera is either 24MP or 32MP. The battery is 3340mAh with 18W charging through USB-C. It has glass front and back on a plastic frame, a rear fingerprint reader and a headphone jack.
