The answer is simple, if you need a budget friendly device, you should go for the iPhone 13 Mini. It is also the best fit for those who seek comfort to carry around. Its weight is about 140 grams lighter than iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and other latest phones.
Design – iPhone 13 Mini Review
iPhone 13 Mini is one of the most powerful and tiniest phones in the recent Apple lineup. It has a 5.4 inches Super Retina XDR display, which gives it a compact and modern look.
The aluminium frame of the iPhone 13 Mini gives a sleek look to its design. Its front is made with ceramic shield glass, and the back side is designed with standard glass. In addition to this, its flat edges provide a better grip, reducing the risk of slipping.
There are some other welcome pros of the iPhone 13 Mini given below.
- Being smaller in size, it is easy to use with one hand.
- Ceramic material gives it extra strength
- Its IP rating is 68, the same as iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. This is a good feature to protect the mobile from dust particles and water drops. The 6 digit means it is completely dustproof. The second digit 8 tells that the iPhone 13 Mini is water resistant under specific conditions. It can withstand underwater at a maximum depth of 6 metres for 30 minutes.
CAUTION:
Apple claims that this IP68 standard can only resist under fresh water. There is no claim for dusty or impure water resistance.
One of my friends came to me with a damaged screen of an iPhone 13 Mini to repair. On my query, he said that my mobile was dropped in muddy water and its screen stopped working. So, I at DrFixit returned his mobile with a screen replacement in an hour.
Besides all these positive points, there are also some drawbacks that you could face. If I share my experience, the major weak point of the iPhone 13 mini was 5.4 inch small display made me uncomfortable because;
- Limitations in media consumption, especially while watching videos and gaming. It is not ideal for those who seek broader media visualisation
- A small display gives less space for comfortable typing
- Your eyes could strain faster while reading a long article or an ebook.
- 5.4 inch display is not suitable for content creators or graphic designers.
- Lack of a high refresh rate, like 120Hz. iPhone 13 Mini has only 60Hz

iPhone 13 Mini shares some durable features with its upgraded models. For example, IP68 rating is a common feature in iPhone 13 Mini, Pro, and Pro Max mobiles, which provides the same resistance against dust particles and water drops. So, it is best for the iPhone 13 Mini to be compatible with its latest models.
Camera Efficiency – iPhone 13 Mini Review

Overall, its battery life is excellent, better than its previous model, but can’t compete with the latest Pro models.
