Best Pixel Phone Repair / Pixel Screen Repair Bristol

Bristol, Brislington & Keynsham Google Pixel screen repairs usually take around 60 Minutes. Pixel phones are designed similar to iPhones, where the screen comes away from the housing, which is not the case with Samsung Smart Phones as they have a back cover which can be heated up and removed.  In the early days of doing phone repairs, we did not know which glue or adhesive tape to use, but that is not the case now.  When we do Google Pixel Screen Repairs, we always buy the official Pixel screen adhesive template if it is available, which is used to adhere the screen to the Google Pixel housing. Less experienced repairers do not realise that using glue can cause the screen to get damaged as the glue contracts when drying, placing tension on the underside of the screen, which you can see in the image.

I like to help people out when ever I can & sometimes it is to my own determinant.  Genuine Google Pixel Screen are not cheap, so often customer will ask if there are any cheaper alternatives.  There are, but we have learnt the hard way that they just do not perform as they should.  They tend to be glitchy and get damaged easily.  This creates a problem for both me and the customer and I feel bad that there is an issue.  I end up having to do the job again and it generally costs me & the customer both time and money. We therefore do not do Google Pixel Screen Repairs unless we use a Genuine Pixel Screen.

As mentioned in the previous FAQ about Genuine Pixel Screens, there are Copy / Generic screens out there, one of the characteristics of these screens is that they do not come with a New Genuine Pixel Finger Print Sensor.  Even though the sensor can be moved, it is very thin and can easily get damaged when being removed.  The Genuine Pixel Screens come with a New Fingerprint Sensor attached.  This sensor needs to be re-calibrated.  We do this by downloading a small file on to your phone.  Whilst we have never lost anyone’s data during the re-calibration of a Google Pixel Fingerprint Sensor, we do recommend that you back-up your phone on a regular basis and before the repair anyway.

Every major mobile phone manufacturer is trying to out compete their competitors, so when a new feature is released, wether that feature is a good idea or not, most major brands adopt that feature. The most recent improvement / feature is the fast charge facility.  Battery technology has not changed much, so when fast charge technology was introduced, the content of the battery had to change.  The result is that batteries do not last 3 – 5 years now, they last 2 years, so a battery replacement is now more probable before you upgrade your phone to a newer model.  Where possible we always use Genuine Batteries because they usually out perform generic batteries.  Fortunately Genuine Google Pixel batteries are usually available, so this is our preferred option.
